Laurence Kandel Recognized as Denver 2010 Five Star Wealth Manager

Elite Group Represents Less Than Four Percent Of Investment Professionals In The Denver Area

Denver – November 17, 2010 – Obermeyer Asset Management Company, one of Colorado’s premier investment firms, today announced that Laurence Kandel has been named a Denver 2010 Five Star Wealth Manager in a survey conducted for 5280 and ColoradoBiz magazines. The survey, the full results of which are included in the November issues of each publication, was conducted by Crescendo Business Services for the magazines to identify wealth managers in the Denver area that scored highest in overall client satisfaction. Evaluation criteria included customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post-sale service, quality of recommendations, and overall satisfaction.

Of the more than 15,000 financial advisors, financial planners, investment advisors, tax advisors, and estate planning attorneys in the region, only 568 of the top-scoring wealth managers made this year’s list.

Mr. Kandel, who serves as Vice President of Investments and Client Advisory for Obermeyer Asset Management, manages client relationships and is responsible for the firm’s marketing and business initiatives in the Denver and Front Range regions. A graduate of the University of Colorado, he has over seventeen years of experience in asset management, including executive roles with Janus Capital Group and Bear Stearns Asset Management.
