Laurence Kandel Named Denver Five Star Wealth Manager for Second Straight Year

Denver – November 01, 2011 – Obermeyer Asset Management Company, one of Colorado’s premier investment firms, today announced that Laurence “Lonny” Kandel has been named a Denver 2011 Five Star Wealth Manager in a survey conducted for 5280 and ColoradoBiz magazines.
Mr. Kandel, who serves as Vice President of Investments and Client Advisory for Obermeyer Asset Management, manages client relationships and is responsible for the firm’s marketing and business initiatives in the Denver and Front Range regions. He was first named a Five Star Wealth Manager in 2010.

Less than 7% of the wealth managers in the Denver market were allowed to qualify for this year’s Five Star award. To arrive at the prestigious list, surveys were mailed to more than 26,500 high-net-worth households and more than 8,500 registered financial services professionals in the Denver area. Another 10,000 surveys were sent to subscribers of 5280 Magazine and Colorado Biz.
Evaluation criteria included customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post-sale service, quality of recommendations and overall satisfaction.
Mr. Kandel, a graduate of the University of Colorado, has over twenty years of experience in the asset management business, including executive roles with Janus Capital Group and Bear Stearns Asset Management.
